I am writing to bring to your attention the illegal closure of the Curtea Veche Publishing House, located at 11, Arh. I. Mincu in Bucharest.
On July 17 the space rented by the editorial offices of this company were illegally occupied by a group of private citizens. Law enforcement agencies were aware of the illegal occupation and seizure of assets, but did not intervene.
Curtea Veche Publishing House is a well-known and highly respected cultural institution in Romania. I urge you to accept to receive a delegation of its workers to discuss ways and means to find, as soon as possible, a solution to this unacceptable situation.
